Flappy Bird Style Clone

Acting as my first introduction to using Unity within my time at University. This 2D project aimed to get acquainted with the engine and learning about the principles of game development by producing a small scale project based on a popular game with some extra features to build upon the flappy bird design. This game incorporates randomised enemy spawns and multiple enemy types that fire projectiles in addition to spawning obstacles for the player to avoid. Players score points by lasting longer periods of time and gain additional points by slaying enemies all while remaining on screen.

This project was a comforting entrypoint into university and it demonstrated my understanding of game development and programming upon starting university. Despite having some prior experience working in Unity, I was relatively new to programming for games and apps since the majority of my previous coding experience was built from web development and what I was able to teach myself in my spare time working through my A-Levels.
